The manufacturing facility of Nexpo Conversion has now achieved the IFS Food Certification. The IFS Food Standard is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) benchmarked standard for auditing food manufacturers. The focus is on food safety and the quality of processes and products. The standard is developed with the participation of different certification bodies, retailers, agents in the food industry and companies in the service sector. The objective of this standard is to audit food manufacturers that produce and pack food products in bulk, to guarantee the safety and food quality of the processed products.
Nexpo Conversion is the first manufacturing facility in the world to achieve IFS Food Certification for Coconut Milk Powder product and production process.
The IFS Food standard applies to suppliers at all steps of food processing subsequent to the agricultural stage. The requirements are related to the quality management system and the HACCP system (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points), supported by detailed prerequisite programmes, that is a set of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practice) requirements.
